Bangkok Itinerary (BKK September 2012)

Just back from Bangkok! This is my second time visit and this time attempted to visit their historical places was a success and not just shopping whole day long. Mission accomplish for visiting their temple *wink*

Well we stayed at Citin Pratunam Hotel. (located near Baiyoke Sky Hotel)

Here is the address:

88/19 Ratchaprarop Road  Phayathai, Ratchathewi, Bangkok 10400, Thailand.

*The hotel has a strategic area where most of the place we want to go for shopping and food hunting is just near by our hotel. What's best is that they even provide free WiFi in room area & free tuk-tuk service every 30 minutes.

Here is the Itinerary

Day 1
  • Lunch at Kuang Heng Chicken Rice (Green colour shirt);Pratunam area (located opposite Platinum Mall bridge)
  • Central World : tea time at bake a wish  + window shopping+ light dinner at Sukishi.
  • Big C : big hypermarket located just opposite Central World.
  • Night Market at Pratunam Area near our hotel : pork satay, rice mango, tom yum soup   nice&cheap!
Day 2
  • Breakfast at Kaiton Kao Chicken Rice (Pink Colour );Pratunam area walk further after the green colour chicken rice store. ( I prefer green colour taste better) *wink*
Plan was supposedly visiting temple whole day and exploring BKK with boat taxi. But  the boats was not allowed to travel in the area from Thevet to the memorial bridge in a period of time of that day. Thus we change our plan and switch this sight seeing day on Day 3.

Chao Phraya Tourist Boat Closure Date

Chao Phraya Tourist Boat Closure Date

*Do take note if any of the day as per the picture above boats cant operate normaly; but you can reach your destination by bus or taxi if you really can't postpone your visit. (Do not need to go to Saphan Taksin by Bts to central pier on the date mention above )

So here is day 2 unexpected switching itinerary; from Saphan Taksin  station we flush our self to Siam station where by all the shopping centre are in that area.

Day 2 (Shopping Day)

  • Siam Paragon: After You Dessert Cafe !! Awesome located at their food court area.

*Tips: BUY one day pass from the counter; you can hop on and off to any colour flag boat and do not need to waste your time on paying and choosing which boat you are going to hop on.One day pass just cost RM15 for me is WORTH THE PRICE.(They even provide map)
  • The Grand Palace ;It is open everyday! Don't get conned by others stating that it is close. Do wear proper attire if you want to visit this place.
opens everyday !!

Opens Every day yah!

  • Khao Shan Road: for lunch at Pier 11 ( based on the map not all boat will stop at this pier) Had the best pad thai ever n it is 350 bath only ! (Will blog this on bkk food post)
  • Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn): love this place amazing view.

G-STICK at Publika

G-stick is a kiosk located beside Ben's general food store!

G-Stick Mango

I was attracted to the bright yellow heart shaped g-stick which is mango flavour. This G-stick taste super nice! Once you bite it; you can taste the freshness of the mango and is not hard like others stick ice cream as their inner side are kinda soft and the taste is so fruitful.

G-Stick

Hello <3 bright="bright" p="p" yellow="yellow">

G-Stick Rocky Road

Also tried another flavour which is Rocky road. Very chocolatey flavoured;on the above part of the G-stick it is dark chocolate flavoured while below is normal milk chocolate. It is a combination of dark and milk chocolate in this G-stick.

Will try their pistachio flavour next time!
